For those that don't keep up with me on Twitter or check out my public Patreon posts, I wanted to give you all a status update. I am very happy to report that Chapter 8's development has been nothing close to the nightmare that Chapter 7's was. Things are moving along well, and, fingers crossed, there will be a July release of Chapter 8 with more regular updates every few months to follow.

One bit of housekeeping. After Chapter 8 releases, I'm going to do something a bit different here on Itch. Chapter 8 is the start of Volume 2 of To Be A King, and Volume 2 will almost certainly be larger than Volume 1. I'll leave Volume 1 as it is here, but I plan to release a Volume 2 purchase option that will include Chapter 8 and future chapters in that volume (at least 6 chapters). When I release a new chapter for Volume 2, if you've purchased Volume 2 on here, you'll get that next chapter for no additional cost. You'll need Volume 1 in order to play Volume 2 (new chapters are essentially DLC). This seems to be best going forward as you won't have to worry about purchasing individual chapters.
